Flood: NCAA Football Donate $ 100,000 to Nashville PDF Print E-mail

The NCAA is donating $ 100,000 to Nashville to help with flood recovery efforts  problem. The grant money was requested through the Franklin American Mortgage Musics City Bowl and come from NCAA football,

From a press release:
 
 Beneficiaries is made up of organizations affected by the floods, including the Donelson Christian Academy, Antioch Middle School, Mount Juliet youth sports, Backfield in motion, Goodlettsville Youth Football; Hendersonville Civitan Youth Soccer, and parks, and Old Hickory Youth Soccer.


 "There was a sense of the impact of the floods of May across the entire community," said Christine Karbowiak, and the Chair pot. "With the help of people from across the state, and moved Nashville quickly toward recovery. It is through this generous donation from the National Association for the sport of football, and many of the parks we have, schools and sports associations will be able to restore their youth football, and for this, and we really grateful. "


 "It was always one of the basic objectives of the National Association for the sport of football to support and strengthen youth programs for football at the national level," said Mark Mack, Chairman of the National Association for the sport of football. "We are pleased to be able to help the community and the Nashville Youth Soccer are many programs that have been affected by terrible floods last spring.
