Conae 3 thousand people will gather to discuss new proposals

The creation of a National Education System and the new National Education Plan (2011-2020) is the center of debate at the National Conference on Education (ConA), held in Brasilia on March 28. 1 April.

The event, sponsored by the MEC, will bring together 2,500 delegates elected in districts and states and 500 invited observers. The call to discuss the themes of Conae happened in schools, municipalities, in 26 states and the Federal District in 2009. The municipalities held 1707 conferences and other municipalities have 551. In the states and the Federal District was 27. Altogether, about 400 thousand people participated in the preparatory conferences.

The official program of the National Conference is composed of an opening panel on the topic (Building a National Articulated Education: the National Education Plan - its policies and strategies), 51 symposia detailing point by point the six sub-themes and two plenary sessions. The 1st of April will be devoted to the final plenary session, ending down for 18h.

The accreditation of delegates and guests will be on March 28, from 8:30 in the Convention Center Ulysses Guimarães, which also will develop the conference. The official opening will be at 18h.
