In an interview with the newspaper The Tennessean, Mario son explained how difficult it had been his first few months of study alternating your regular classes with English classes, ELL. In the interview Barry Cordell McGavock school teacher praised the dedication of Mario to the study and how they sought not only to fulfill their school duties but in most cases to exceed the requirements that were necessary. "I remember Mario's passion for reading - Cordell said - on one occasion took 4 books in the history of the Napoleonic Wars to read while on vacation. In many other cases I mentioned a novel in class for reference only and Mario's looking for and proceeded to read "- concludes Cordell.
