The financial assistance that the sponsors of special education schools receive could become law in Parana. The proposal was presented yesterday (8) by the Governor Roberto Requiao the ceremony for signing of agreements with the entities of technical and financial cooperation of the entire Parana. "It is a government policy that will be transformed into state policy," he said. For this, a bill must be forwarded to the Legislative Assembly this week. The governor announced the extension of the validity of the agreements with the authorities for three years to ensure the transfer of resources if the remainder of the bill is not approved this year. According to Vice Governor Orlando Pessuti the model adopted in Paraná is the inclusion of educational responsibility. "Our public schools receive people with special needs and promotes their integration. But the state recognizes that there are cases where you have to respect the differences, so we maintain special schools and invest in a policy of inclusion that does not fail to assist those who need more specialized care, "he said. Secretary of Education Yvelise Rainbow Green stressed the importance of partnership between government entities and sponsors of special education schools: "We are recognizing the importance of the work of those entities to the Paraná society and its fundamental role. They were pioneers in a time when the school was exclusive and not accept special students. " Yvelise Rainbow Green reported that the Department of Education promotes regular courses, events and professional training for special education. "In 2004, there was the first competition for the special education teacher. Today there are 4,500 teachers providing services to 80 thousand special students, "he added. |
