The series features 16 episodes and will address social conflicts in Rio de Janeiro. The direction was entrusted to Alexandre Avancini and the screenplay was written by Marcilio Moraes (de Vidas). According to Moraes, the series will show the ambiguity between law and crime that exists in Brazil. Here is justified police militia, killing thug. In many places, the dealer is the law. Sometimes, people prefer his law to the police, which is more truculent. The story will be set up to show the limits of that gray area between law and crime, hence the title. " The plot revolves around Nando (Angelo Paes Leme), a former paratrooper who kills his father and becomes haunted by his brother, Officer Romero (Caio Junqueira). To escape the vengeance, Nando hiding in a slum and eventually taking control of local drug trafficking. Nando's story ends up crossing the path of Catherine (Francisca Queiroz), a woman of upper middle class who decides to become delegated after the murder of his father. For Moraes, "the plot of Law and Crime is strong, vigorous. I believe that will stir the public. " The writer adds, "the theme of the series is present in our daily life in a way that you can not hide." Law and Crime was originally conceived as a special year-end.
