Man In Court For Allegedly Stabbing Wife To Death

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - He has been accused of killing his wife, and Tuesday the suspect was headed to court.

Police said that Pascal Gahungu stabbed his wife, Yoranda, to death earlier in January because he was angry with her over domestic issues.

The couple's 20-year-old son wrestled Gahungu to the floor to stop the attack, and he then held his father until police arrived.

Another son and the couple's 7-year-old granddaughter were also there.

Police said the family had recently moved to Nashville from Africa, and the girl was the only one who spoke English.

Tuesday morning, Gahungu remained behind bars.
