Sophie Zelmani: I'm The Rain

I'm With The Rain logs, the Swedish singer-songwriter Sophie Zelmani their lonely island of return. As usual, come all the songs from the pen of the media shy singer who has withdrawn to a remote Swedish island. Together with guitarist and producer Lars Halapi (Eskobar) it has established in its eighth plant eleven o'clock pensive, melancholy guitar songs. Along with her current band recorded Zelmani album in Halapis studio in southern Sweden on this, including the title song If I Could, Ready To Be Forgiven and interior design. The latter is a musical and lyrical improvisation. The duo had just two chords and some basic sentences. First, they wanted to think about the feeling of the dream house and all the desires that are related to this ideal. About the album title, I'm The Rain, The Ocean And Me is again employed by the water, Zelmani said: "My obsession with water, one could find quite surprising. I'm really very afraid of water! But it also has something about him that makes me extremely intrigued. I'm The Rain "is a quiet, intense album above all the beautiful songs and Our Man Knows It. Zelmanis music is like a faithful companion, who never lets his listeners in the lurch.

Turin Brakes: Outburst

With album number four rang the Turin Brakes as a fully reinforced soft-rock band. At number five is Olly Knights and Gale Paridjanian again folkpop duo, acoustic guitar songs about relationships, love and the world to sing. Outburst is the successor of Dark On Fire, and the two call each song as an outbreak in any concept blocked creativity. Their music may evoke comparisons with well-known genre of legends Simon & Garfunkel and Crosby, Stills & Nash. But this is only the surface: The wheel must be constantly re-invented not run the wheel must be round. And the Turin Brakes create in their voluptuous melodies in which they sing lyrics that belong to the here and now. The public seems to feel in their concerts, because Knights writes in the tour blog on the official website of a lot of energy in the room and the cozy feeling, when people spontaneously sang along the song new song Rocket. "There is always something special happens when the PA (amplifier off), then it is instinctive and an original connection that can be a true turning point. We might one day make only a purely acoustic show. "This is probably the secret of the New Folk: A campfire romanticism in the shadow of the Watts race cars that is being rediscovered.

UB 40: Labour Of Love IV

The old soft reggae veteran have done it again: an album packed with reggae pieces, which are substantially not, or not so well known and packaged the whole thing into a sound that goes through now as a registered trademark. UB 40 but must also deal with an innovation that goes beyond the harmonic structure of the band world something. Alaister Campbell is a singer stepped out as "Lab-our Of Love IV replaced him at his cousin Duncan Campbell. The sound of the UB 40 carries, not in a new direction, but it does not disturb the other. The voice leads UB 40 to a little freshness to the formation and certainly does not hurt. Old reggae and soul pieces are perfectly implemented, yet catchy, much to the smooth sounds eighties, but a certain whistle can not be denied the set gentlemen.
