Sony Music is planning country-hit compilation CD

Sony Music Entertainment is placing greater emphasis on country music. The major label to be published in May 2010 the first CD compilation with songs from the U.S. country charts.

If the first CD is selling well, each year are two (in the early summer and Christmas) compilations are put on the market. Each CD should be 20 songs, which primarily come from the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Song charts. However, exceptions will be made when title in this country, for example, are particularly successful.

Sony Music, of course, is dependent on the goodwill of the other titles on the label, because, for example, EMI would have to agree to Keith Urban, Universal Music Taylor Swift and Warner Music with Faith Hill.
