TW Telecom is expanding its co-location data center in MetroCenter.

The work will expand the storage facility to 12,700 square feet. Duke Construction is handling the buildout, which will be complete during the first quarter and leave TW with room for another 4,000-square-foot expansion. TW officials are not saying how much they are spending on the project.

Colorado-based TW Telecom (Ticker: TWTC) runs 75 offices around the country and rang up $3.8 million in profit last quarter on sales of $292 million. The company entered the Nashville market in 2006 when it acquired Xspedius and was known as Time Warner Telecom until this past July. Among its local colo clients are Renal Advantage and Books-A-Million.
