Oklahoma City finished its first road
trip of the season with a rout of Nashville. Although the RedHawks
ended the eight-day trip 3-4 (one game was rained out), they outscored
the opposition 40-23.
The RedHawks had home runs from Esteban German, Scott Thorman and Casey Benjamin. Oklahoma City scored 12 runs in the fifth inning — 11 coming with two outs.
Neftali Feliz (1-0) allowed two runs on three hits in five innings. He walked only two and struck out five. Former RedHawks pitcher Wes Littleton gave up six runs, four hits and two walks during Oklahoma City’s 12-run fifth inning. ... The Texas Rangers sent catcher Kevin Richardson to Oklahoma City on Thursday. ... Despite the rout, the RedHawks stranded 13 runners. |
