Windtree Golf Club gets new owner

Businessman Monty Mires has purchased Windtree Golf Club, an 18-hole public course in Mount Juliet.

Mires, managing partner of the Five Oaks Country Club development in Lebanon, also owns two other courses — Cedar Crest Golf Club in Murfreesboro and Pine Creek Golf Club in Mount Juliet.

Details of the deal were not disclosed.

Gilbert Smith, a broker with Southeast Venture, acted as agent for Textron Golf Financial Division which sold Windtree and has two other courses for sale, Temple Hills Golf and Country Club in Franklin and Nashboro Golf Club in Nashville.
